Butterfly Block Printed Curtains

A surprising combination of purples and greens

A pair of curtains that I block printed for my dad. He’s been obsessed with butterflies for as long as I can remember. His favorite colors are purple and green, but since the two don’t normally go together, I spent a lot of time testing different shades of each until I was happy with this combination. I tried my hand at dying fabric with yellow onion skins and the results are a little off white, but the yellow really comes through and completes the analogous color scheme when the sun is behind it.
