Jordan Petteys is a tactile storyteller based in Dallas, Texas. Petteys specializes in photojournalism, print and pattern design, screen printing, weaving, and sewing. With her BFA in Fibers and minor in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Petteys hopes to use storytelling as a platform for lesser-known creative voices in an effort to fight consumerism and make slow, ethical, and sustainable textiles more accessible to all people. Whether she is embarking on a road trip around the US, engaging different cultures around the world, or appreciating the ordinary within her everyday life, Petteys looks for the red thread that connects all of humanity to a greater whole. For her, faith is the overarching narrative behind her work, and reverence for God the central motif interwoven in all of her creative endeavors.
