As the Product Development Manager for Vickery Trading Company, I prioritized ethical & sustainable manufacturing and maintained a high standard for performance and style. In the most recent collection, I sourced organic, USA made hemp-cotton denim, luxurious tencel, and ethically sourced water buffalo horn from vetted manufacturers. I also oversaw the entire design process - from trend research and material testing, to providing feedback for pattern adaption and selecting locally made notions. I oversaw sample production by training refugee women to hand paint and assemble earring samples, coaching the production supervisor and training manager and ensuring the team met expectations and deadlines. I brought the garments and accessories to life by producing and directing the photo shoot.
